Walker’s Legacy Foundation to Launch Programming In Rochester NY

NATIONAL WOMEN’S ORGANIZATION EXPANDS PROGRAMMING TO SERVE  MULTICULTURAL WOMEN IN ROCHESTER, NY
Walker’s Legacy Foundation will expand its national reach to support and uplift multicultural women and girls in Rochester, New York.

Rochester, NY—January 26, 2021—Walker’s Legacy Foundation, the nonprofit sister-arm of national women’s business organization  Walker’s Legacy, is proud to expand programming to Rochester, NY. Walker’s Legacy Foundation is missioned to provide a foundation of entrepreneurial, financial and professional support to improve the economic equality and entrepreneurial prosperity of women of color.

The CEO and Founder, Natalie Madeira Cofield is a proud Rochester native. “As a woman of color entrepreneur, I personally understand the importance of investing in the largest growing sector of entrepreneurs, multicultural women,'' said Natalie Madeira Cofield, Founder & CEO of Walker’s Legacy. “I feel honored to have the opportunity to bring much needed resources to my home city.”  

The Rochester programming will include masterclass sessions by local women leaders, two three-month Women Who Enterprise entrepreneur accelerator cohorts, financial literacy workshops, and mentoring for multicultural women in business. 

The Rochester Program Coordinator, CaTyra Polland, M.A. is also a Rochester native. She is a Nazareth Academy graduate, Rochester Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, and an entrepreneur. “As a Black female entrepreneur I am excited to launch programming for other multicultural female business owners, it is not only necessary but well deserved, “ said CaTyra Polland, Rochester Program Coordinator of Walker’s Legacy Foundation.
