Walker’s Legacy Foundation Announces Rochester Programming Advisory Board Members

Diverse business leaders will provide insight and guidance on women of color centered programmatic efforts.

Rochester, NY (DATE) --Walker’s Legacy Foundation is proud to announce the installation of its advisory board members for the organization’s Rochester, NY efforts. 

Selected from a diverse community of professional and enterprising women leaders throughout the region, the advisory board will provide strategic guidance, community relations, program support, and outreach, and deepen the organization’s engagement in the Rochester, NY community. 

The 2021 - 2023 Advisory Board Members include:

Dr. Melody Cofield, Founder of Divar - Considered a thought-leader and expert on cultivating, preserving, and promoting the legacy of extraordinary people, Dr. Melody is a sought-after legacy coach, speaker, and consultant.

Beverly Fairbanks, Vice President | Regional Community Reinvestment Officer, M&T Bank-Beverly Fair-Brooks serves as Vice President and Regional Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer for M&T Bank.  She oversees the bank’s community reinvestment efforts throughout the Rochester, Southern Tier & Central regions.

Sherry Tshibangu, Monroe Community College Professor - Sherry Tshibangu is a Distinguished Professor of Business and Entrepreneurship at Monroe Community College (MCC) in Rochester, New York, and owner of Innovative Business Advisors.

Annette Ramos, Executive Administrator to Parks Director at Monroe County - Originally from New York City by way of Los Angeles, Annette Ramos is now thrilled to join the Monroe County Parks Department to enhance Park offerings as a Rochester-based arts professional, community advocate and Cultural curator.

 Walker’s Legacy Foundation is led by Natalie Madeira Cofield. Natalie is a Rochester native and is the Founder & CEO of Walker’s Legacy and the Walker’s Legacy Foundation.  Natalie has provided some of the nation's most prominent CEOs of billion-dollar organizations, executives of global brands, senior advisors to the White House, mayors of leading national cities, and community activists and leaders with inspiration, insight, and advice.   

“In our eleven year history, Walker’s Legacy has expanded to more than fifteen cities across the country, however, bringing our national programming to my hometown is among the highlights of my work,” stated Cofield. “We understand, personally and professionally, the needs that aspiring enterprising women of color have and look forward to supporting their growth and development through community and impact,” she continued. 

Established in Washington, DC in 2010, the organization has since expanded to sixteen markets across the country including Rochester, New York.
